Effective leave absence management can be a significant challenge for employers on a “normal” basis, let alone during a global pandemic that is rife with not only unique work environments, but also complex caregiving needs. This presentation will discuss strategies for leave absence management, including the development of policies and procedures, and will cover the often confusing interplay of FMLA and ADA. In addition, we will explore anticipated changes to leave laws in the coming months, especially as the prevalence of COVID-19 recedes.
